Mindy Kaling's doing the Time Warp—and it's taking her back to Stars Hollow!

The Mindy Project creator and star, 35, loves to share behind-the-scenes sneak peeks at upcoming episodes. And on Monday, Dec. 8, she Instagrammed snaps from a future episode involving a flashback to 2004.

Cue the "Where You Lead," because Kaling only had one beauty inspiration in mind: the cerulean-eyed Alexis Bledel, back when she was starring on the hit series Gilmore Girls.

"In 2004 Mindy Lahiri wore color contacts. She asked for 'Alexis Bledel blue,'" the Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? author captioned a close-up shot of the hilarious homage, with her naturally brown eyes turned sky blue.

Bledel's eyes were quite the obsession in 2004. Not only did they flash on our TV screens every Tuesday night, but they also made a colorful appearance in the black and white film Sin City, where they were highlighted to pop against the color-free backdrop.

Kaling didn't just reveal her throwback beauty choices, though! The multi-hyphenate also 'Grammed a full-length shot of the very 2004 clothing she'll be wearing in the episode. "Flashback! 2004 Mindy Lahiri. Bangs, bob, cowl neck sweater and boot cut jeans," she wrote of the outfit, notably missing Mindy Lahiri's fabulous prints.
